The ruled reporter notebook is for the missus, who loves taking down notes. The squared notebook is mine.

Back before blogging was the rage, I used to keep notebooks — from heavy-paper-type pocket sketchbooks to lowly “Cattleya” brand ones — to put down stuff: lame attempts at poetry, the usual angsty story or two, among others.

  1. Blogging is fun, they it’s to substitute for a well-loved, well-worn journal. I’ve kept a notebook consistently for years now. Discovered the Moleskines about a year ago and don’t think I’ll ever write in anything else again. They are great… Enjoy.

  2. Thanks, Chaim.

I’m not a “good” writer, in both sense of the term (my penmanship sucks, and I can barely create a coherent sentence), but I’ve loved writing all my life. My notebooks were always an outlet for that, and they have kept me company through the years. Naks, senti. Heh.
