Surprise finds

Surprise finds from a second-hand book shop.

Got these yesterday from a second-hand book shop here in Cabanatuan City: (from top) Neil Stephenson’s Cryptonomicon; Orson Scott Card’s Speaker for the Dead; William Gibson’s Virtual Light; and Programming Perl, second edition, from O’Reilly. All for Php99 each.

Not bad at all.

“Programming Perl” is worth over P2,000.00. At P99, that is
a steal!

So you read Orson Scott Card. I started a group “Card Readers”
in Shelfari. You might like to join. Please do.

I read Card’s Ender and Bean series. Haven’t logged on Shelfari for quite some time now. Will prolly give it a shot. Thanks, Doc Mana.

where in cabanatuan? i found some nifty computer books in Booksale in the NE Pacific mall. i bought a Sams Teach Yourself BEA WebLogic server 7.0, Internet Security, and Programming with Java IDL. Two were priced at 99 and one was at 170. i think it was the BEA book because the bundled CD was still attached. :D

ciao!

Found them in Booksale. There’s a second-hand book shop in Poulex Department Store in Megacenter, and another one at the Pandayan (nice name) Bookstore.

I love second-hand bookstores. :)
